Eden II Programs are in desperate need of additional funding. The program is a not- for-profit organization that is partly funded by the NYC public education system and OMRDD - Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Over 200 families, with a member affected by autism, are served by Eden II Programs. Many services are provided from funds raised from the private sector, and a growing community of individual supporters. Our fundraising initiatives include a campaign for Wright Avenue, raising grants from foundations, and an annual cycle of special events including a Valentines Day Dinner Dance, a gala Dinner Dance and Auction, and a Golf Tournament. Eden II has a 501(c) 3 status, all contributions to it are tax exemptible to the fullest extent provided by law. We welcome your participation in our fundraising initiatives. Direct Support Opportunities
In addition to our special events, Eden II looks to its supporters for
contributions on an ongoing basis. Canister Collection ProgramRetailers across the New York Metropolitan area (and beyond!) have elected to help Eden II meet its financial goals by collecting money from their customers and forwarding it to us. Custom made collection jars placed in high traffic areas have instigated a funding flow that began as a trickle, has graduated to a steady stream, and will soon be a mighty torrent of cash! The eye-catching graphic on the canister seems to bring out the generosity in everyone who sees it. If you know of a retailer (or a restaurant, a church, a theater, or any other appropriate high-traffic location) who would like to join this program by placing one of our canisters on their counter, please contact Margaret Zampardi, 718-816-1422, ext. 152, mzampardi@eden2.org. Arrangements can be made for the jars to be emptied by someone from our organization on a regular or as needed basis, or the retailer may simply empty the jar himself and send us a check. Click here for a list of retailers who have been kind enough to help raise funds for Eden II and Genesis by collecting contributions from their customers. Please patronize these businesses, and when you do go in, thank them for helping us. Used Cartridge Collection ProgramEden II Programs receives on average $1.75 on used cartridges sent to an ink recycling company. These funds are designated to help Eden II provide for its Information Technology needs. If you are located in Staten island NY, or are willing to send the used cartridges to us, please help us set up donation boxes at your work place. The boxes will be collected by Eden II from Staten Island businesses. For information and coordination, please contact Margaret Zampardi, 718-816-1422, ext. 152, mzampardi@eden2.org. Donate a PC/LaptopAdministrative and clinical staff carry the great responsibility of meeting our children's and adult's needs. Funding to enable them to use basic office productivity software is hard to come by. If you are about to upgrade your home or work PC/Laptop, and would like to donate it, please contact Amos El-Roy, Head of MIS at 718-816-1422 ext. 102, or send an email at aelroy@eden2.org. We may be able to pick up your donated computer. Every Dollar CountsWe hope our ongoing support opportunity will encourage you to donate to our cause.
